Akira Yaegashi did it a couple months ago.

105 to 112 and won the lineal title from Igarashi in his first fight.

    1. He fought Tarver for a lhw title in his first fight after the Taylor rematch at mw...so yes he did jump two division in his next fight and won a title.

    2. Not to be a stickler but 170 is still technically lhw. Not the limit I know but still....and that was after Tarver.

Beat Ruiz a 2nd tier champ and had to have his own ref in his back pocket to boot.

I ask who went two divisions up and beat the real champ at the weight?

    Ruiz?

    You're correct.

Pacquiao never jumped 2 divisions and fought a titlist in his first outing.

Think Koki Kameda jumped from Flyweight to Bantamweight to win a title.

    Just boxrec'd it. I'm a huge Koki fan but I wasn't certain.

He did have one fight at bantamweight against Cecilio Santos before fighting Alexander Munoz (the one Santa Cruz just beat 2 1/2 years later) for the vacant WBA. For the Santos fight, Koki came in at 115 3/4, which is bantamweight. Santos weighed 119, just to give you full disclosure of my boxrec findings!
