Taylor didn't have the power to back up Bron Bron. Mathysse's power would have his eye light up. Boner problems are these big power punchers. They are his worst nightmare. Luca would have him running laps around the ring. Broner gets hit flush i feel it would be over red rover. I think Luca hits harder than Maidana and definitely Taylor. That's why Broner looked good. He had an opponent tailor made for him.

Good thing for Matthysse, Broner is mainly flat footed and doesn't have much lateral movement.

He deserved to beat Alexander and the Judah fight could have went either way.

Compare that to Maidana who beat Broner who arguably lost most rounds against Alexander and struggled with his boxing skills not so much Broner.

 

maidana is more of a pressure fighter...matthysse is a big puncher, but he doesn't have the all-out aggression of maidana. broner would have the space and time to circle matthysse and counter him. regardless of what people think, broner doesn't just stand in one place all night. he showed against taylor that he has great ring generalship when he puts his mind to it. danny garcia, with moderate lateral movement and counterpunching beat the pants offa matthysse, dropped him and completely imposed his will on matthysse. broner would use matthysse for target practice.

I watched both the judah-matthysse and alexander-matthysse fights. the judah fight was close, but zab clearly outboxed matthysse...alexander beat matthysse without much trouble.
