So, dont project your failings on other people and spoil this good thread that I have appreciated with my own praise for joe , thank you.

 

-wrote Sugar 88, who whilst writing that post, was unknowningly to himself, actually the only one concocting a story- that story being that joe faces ward.

I'd type Calturd self destructs once again (C.S.D.O.A), but this thread should be about appraising what joe did in reality, since its a factual documentary, not about imagining stuff that never happens, so I wont add something fictional negative, I'll only say what IS.

 

so lets keep this about praising what joe did, like I am doing (opting for 11 years of wbo defences, plus 1 IBF one- awesome!), lets praise what joe did instead of inventing fiction.

NOW just a quick factual update, the movie Mr Calzaghe has been removed from the Vue main website. for some reason. I bloody well hope its not been cancelled due to poor or non-existent sales . . Even in Joes home capital of Cardiff, the Odeon have chosen not to screen Mr Calzaghe, in favour ofinstead screening a documentary about an unknown horse jockey.

What?? What an Irish jockey is more important to cardiffians than their own joe calzaghe!?? I'm a bit dissapointed to say the least.

Keep your fingers crossed for some screenings outside wales hopefully but it doesnt look likely now that it will be screened at all due to cinemas wanting to screen more profitable films - if cardiff dont want his movie than what chance is there other places will? . At least we know it goes straight to sky 4 days after its "planned" release, so we real boxing fans can all still enjoy it.

I never said I thought Calzaghe would return or face Ward, he's been retired for a long time now. It was suggested by another poster. Try and spin it how you want, the whole forum sees though your tragic charade.

now if you don't mind I am toying with the idea of starting a petition to send to VUE cinemas in order for them to reverse their decision not to screen Mr Calzaghe due to bad ticket sales. Perhaps you should make an effort to support JC like I am doing, instead of inventing stuff and procrastinating like a good keyboard warrior does.

who did he beat ? Certainly not Hopkins. Who hasn't beaten Jones jr Both put Calzaghe on his butt too . Calzaghe was wayyyy overrated

 

come on CJ lets get behind joes film. it needs support because currently it looks like its going to bomb massively since its not getting a release anywhere except sky sports and youtube

basically we need to turn around what currently looks to be a massive loss of a movie and turn it into more of a metaphor for joes career that we can be proud of.
We cannot allow the opposite, that is for this possible massive failed loss of a film to somehow represent joes career.


Quick update - Vue Methyr Tydfil cinema have actually replied to my request for them to screen Mr Calzaghe. It seems that the movie generated no interest in sales in Calzaghe's own backyard, so they have replaced the screening with a repeat of the donkeys years old gay love movie "Brokeback Mountain".

 

Hmm, this Brokeback Mountain sounds interesting. Is there any boxing in it?

I expect someones going to be funny and reverse that statement - more boxing in BM but more but hump in Calzaghe-hopkins.

 

Calzaghe and Roid Jones live in Moscow. Roid can be roided to the gills and Joe can snort some coke before the fight.
