apparently joe backed out 3 times from a possible lacy fight by inventing injuries or announcing the other guy wouldn't sign or turn up.

was it true? up to that point he'd backed out citing injuries it with almost every tough fighter he'd been linked with....though on each occasion he then went on to have no problem facing a replacement weakling.

 

having said that I might catch the film for free when it gets repeated, I like to learn about our Brit heroes and feel proud that they can hang onto even the minor unrecognised title for 10 years.

 

I enjoyed the film. A good overview of Calzaghe's career.

 

yeah I thought it wouldn't be bad viewing - must be some other factor that resulted in its financial failure, perhaps the subject material just didn't interest anyone enough.

Mostly likely Ward would of got DQ for headbutts. Joe is a level above Ward. He doesn't need to cheat to win.
