It does seen ridiculous that small Smith was unable to make 172 however, the post on this website by that idiot Gilfroid is even more ridiculous.

I mean who could make up **** like "Ward was his usual professional self in coming in at 171.8lbs, in easily making the 172lb catch-weight limit."

Yeah because arbitrarily deciding a catch weight to come in at against a domestic level contender at the weight below is the height of professionalism...

Looking at Smith at the weigh in he looked out of shape and Ward looked in amazing shape. I'm guessing a Ward stoppage and Smith is just happy to be paid.

paul smith can weigh in at whatever weight he wants, he aint beating andre ward. im not being harsh but paul is 2-3 levels below andre ward and im being generous!!

paul has been the luckiest brit in recent years when it comes to big fights, no matter how many time people say it he should never have got the first fight against abraham when an unmotivated abraham beat him comfortably and paul starts whinging he was shafted on the cards!! they give him a second bite at the cherry once again undeserved and he gets totally schooled by abraham and imo abraham hasnt schooled 1 super middleweight since moving up, he was a formidable force at middle but not so much at super middle.

now he gets picked to fight andre ward and comes in overweight! teh purse was a good one before losing 20% for a non title bout and coming off 2 defeats against abraham but him and gallacher should hold their heads in shame for coming in overweight and if i was a travelling fan i would be wondering if paul has done this fight for the payday and would not be happy i had spent my hard earned money to watch him collect a pay check!!
