Which point was that? He was beaten when in his prime by Castillo.

this is a fighter who just earlier was showing off his pac cheque going on about money rah rah rah then soon as he retires and is paying cheques out from Mayweather promotions its
fighters excpecting to be paid to much
got to love the way Floyd expects the rules and goal post to be moved for him creating his level playing field

    Bad.

He's killed the PPV model (look at the numbers for his last fight, PPV is done)
Tried to get others to milk their worth, not fight the best (Canelo/GGG? Garcia has followed his advice)
Avoided LIVE challenges (Say no more)
Blatantly took PED's (Look at his head shape and his gangly arms. Like a bowling ball, and like a Spider)
Bored fans to death (when was his last TRUE exciting fight? He is all talk)

His talen was exceptional, but there's more bad than there is good to say about him.

    Meh, I voted neutral/both.
As much of an ass he's been within the last few years, he was a hell of a fighter. His PBF days are definitely worth noting more than his "TBE" days imo

    lol @ the haters.

How can a guy who numerous times sold out Vegas arena's, had the highest grossing live events and well as record PPV buy's be bad for the sport of boxing?

I'm surprised ya'll aint trying to blame Floyd for the American election result, the Syrian civil war and the rise of the far right in Europe.

Oh and not forgetting this guy said took control of his destiny and his self worth cutting out the middle man promoter yet somehow he was bad for boxing. Please.

How can you look at the actions of other fighters and then pin that on Floyd?

So cos your favourite fighters are not in the fights you wanna see somehow that the fault of Floyd Mayweather? What kind of stupid logic is that.

Spot on. He has said it himself "work smarter, not harder". You want to make money in boxing you play the villain and act like a larger than life grade A a$$hole and your fan base will grow if theyre into it and your haters will pay to see you lose. You then take on B and C level opponents that you package and sell as "champions" and laugh your way all the way to the bank.
Floyds career reminds me a bit of Howard Stern. When he was at his peak in popularity and vulgarity there was a poll taken which found that nearly 60% of those polled thought he was vulgar and disgusting while 40% thought he was funny and enjoyed his show. When asked why they tune in both said "to hear what hes going to say next". The golden boy era in boxing is a thing of the past. People need a villain nowadays. Its why wwe is still popular and Conor Mcgregor is selling big in ppv. Ronda Rousy also played the villain role but then got exposed as nothing more than an insecure little girl.

Anybody that follows the sport closely knew that "Money" was a different animal than "Pretty Boy" and was well aware that May/Pac was likely to be esoteric in nature. But the fight was marketed as some kind of Ali/Frazier and when the general population bought in at a record 100USD a crack and then were fed a fight that even most hardcores found to be a boring shitfest, the bottom promptly fell out in what had been the most lucrative market. The consumers said **** that and now you can't sell a legit superfight. Which I couldn't care less about except that expectations from the up and comers are now unrealistic and a bunch of fights I would like to see will not likely get made because there is not enough money to pay what they are thinking they are entitled to.

So thanks ****in' Floyd (Arum too) and good riddance to bad ****ing rubbish.
