I find this misfits and turki stuff being more and more wwe like.

Especially with all the major British boxing media outlets all following the same narrative on things.

I don’t watch ufc but thought that been WWE style for a while now.

maybe it’s the tko group way?

    The worst thing is ...
AJ v Jake Paul included in a Netflix subscription is still better value than what DAZN will offer on their £25+ month "Ultimate" package.
Some of DAZN's premium/PPV fights will be no better than AJ v Paul.

Am I living under a rock or is there just no hype or wider interest for this fight at all? Two or three days out and you’d think it’d be plastered all over social media and the BBC etc.

Given the racket made when it was announced, now it’s pretty much here there’s nothing.

It will go into overdrive from tomorrow onwards as there will be some highlights from the press conference that do the rounds on social media.

I think the fact that it’s free for Netflix subscribers is a factor. I’d imagine most who would like to tune in will already be in possession of a Netflix account so there’s not much to sell here tbh.

    @delboy82

Not had a reply from you and hope you are OK.

If I don't see an acceptance before the day of the fight, then all bets off.

No problems either way if you want to accept or back out.

Sorry chief, just getting round to catching up, was away for a wee bit.
I'm all good, thanks for asking!

Sadly the bet isn't the same anymore as it was also to include the build up. And to be perfectly honest I'm most likely not gonna be on here over the holidays.

Ps only way I enjoy it is if Paul is his back rnd 1, or even more if Joshua somehow gets chinned.

I suspect it is scripted - got to be as Paul would be KTFO within 20 secs

He might be able to run for a cpl rnds, but if it goes longer than three then yes it's an illegal fight.

Anthony Joshua is known to be a mentally-shot, chinny, bodybuilder bum. That's a firmly established fact of boxing.
This fight only confirms it. The fact he's even taken this fight just proves further what's been known for a long time.

Jake Paul, who I'd make anything from 100-1 to 1000-1 underdog, if this is a legit fight, is probably getting some confidence from that fact that Anthony Joshua is known to be a mentally-shot, chinny, bodybuilder bum.

I don't think I'm a boxing snob, I enjoy a good tear up between two evenly matched opponents whatever the level. I also appreciate the nuance and tactiacal subtleties of high level pugilists. The thing I'm not such a big fan off is unfairly matched fights. I get that sometimes a fighter needs a tune-up, no problem with that, but for the most part, I just want to see evenly matched fights. That being said, I will watch this on Friday, and I hate that I will. Is it some kind of morbid fascination? Maybe I should just accept it for what it is, a freak show event that hopefully we don't see much more of in the future.

If this fight goes beyond the first 30 seconds, people are entitled to raise an eyebrow. I’m not saying it’s scripted, but it would suggest there’s at least an understanding about how it’s meant to play out. From a pure boxing point of view, this shouldn’t last.

All AJ has to do is walk him down, feint a couple of times, draw any kind of lead or movement, and it’s jab right hand, goodnight. The size and power gap is enormous, and Joshua can actually punch. Any clean one two ends it.
