The pull counter will be key to this matchup, I see May delivering pull counter after pull counter and knocking Pac out in the later rounds.

Finishing his career off with one of his defining punches, the pull counter.

the way pacquiao sets up his punches I don't think we will see any pull counters actually. Cause pac always follows up his jab with some crazy lunging ****.

I think floyd will be bouncing on his toes a lot and throwing a lot of pot shots and holding. Lot's of lead rights to the head and body. Some counter hooks but not very many pull counters.

There will be pull counters. Pac will throw a lazy left jab and May will counter it with some pull counters right on his mandible.

That's how I see the fight finishing.

I think Pacquiao's fast enough footwork and an ability to slip out in and out at awkward angles to negate this.

I think Pac gets KO too! there no way hes gonna get away from the stright rights! if JMM can hit him with those, Mayweather is truly gonna have a field day. pac does the same damn combo, jab jab straight left. thats really all Mayweather needs to watch from JMM fights. he will time pac to death! pac has to get inside and eat a bunch to land because he cant win a boxing match

    That's not lunging. That's stepping.

Lunging is when you step forward with the rear foot instead of the front foot.

It's Mayweather that lunges against southpaws when he throws that right hand. That's one of the ways Pacquaio is going to counter his ass.

Does Floyd use the pull counter much on lefties?

Mayweather had trouble landing that straight right on Guerrero, Lol, and now he's gonna knock Pac out?

He had to change his strategy starting in the fourth round and fight completely defensive.

And as slow as Guerrero is, he often only missed Floyd by inches.

Guerrero tagged Floyd with counters repeatedly off of Mayweather's right straight initially, but Guerrero has NO explosiveness.

    No real power.

When Pac hits Floyd, if he hits him clean, he will drop him if Mayweather attempts his typical right hand happy strategy.

I think you'er right on that pull counter mess. Maidana broke that habit with that right hand. He was using it too much anyways. Pac is too fast for that. Pac got anger issues in the ring and he needs to exploit that and set traps. I think he can knock Pac out and I wouldn't be surprised if he did just that.

I did notice guerrero landing on Floyd early on. That was the south paw effect.

It's also Floyd's strategy against southpaws and his style.

Against a guy like Guerrero who fought him at a distance, Mayweather should be able to outbox him all day, and he did.

And when Guerrero did try to press, he didn't have anything for Floyd because he was too slow and had no punching power.

because Pac is wide open after throwing his wild combos! thats how Mayweather can KO pac! add that the straight right is the best punch against southpaws and thats his best punch, i can see Pac eating alot of punches to the fat face

Guerrero is also bigger than Pac. Taller, more reach. Pac won't do the same as guerrero. Like when people compare Judah, Judah was countering Floyd and fighting totally different than Pac, and Judah is also rangier than Pac.

Not saying Pac won't have success, just that it won't be too similar to those fighters, better or worse. I think Floyd will have a ton of trouble getting Pac's timing down, he'll figure out the range quicker though.

    Right.

Because Mayweather is prone to throwing punches in between his opponents punches.

That's the only way he's going to knock Pac out. At best, you can hope that he catches Pac with his hands down coming off a pivot, but that would require Floyd being aggressive.

Floyd is reluctant to let his hands go when his opponent has no speed. When Pac throws, every time Floyd throws with Pac, it's a greater liability for Floyd than it is for Pac.
