12-1 is too high. I site that I use has Mayweather as a 10-1 favorite and Maidana as a 6-1 underdog.

If a fighter didn't care about legacy and just wanted to cash out they could potentially be the heavy fav and purposely lose the bout while placing a large some on the opponent.

You'd probably lose your fight license and go to jail for doing something like that.

Angulo at 5 to 1 underdog is a better bet.

Should be about 20- 1 Maidana has virtually no chance its well worth betting big on Floyd at 12- 1 it's basically free money.

No it's not considering there are better odds out there. The payout is pretty small on those type of odds as well. That means that you'll need to lay down a lot of money just to get a solid return.

Yet Mayweather fans think this matchup will sell over 1 million PPV.

Does anyone remember a matchup with odds similar to this selling anywhere close to 1 million ppv???

"Catch it this saturday folks, Mayweather a 12-1 favorite against this Argentine fighter, Macas Madaina."

.......half the time the mainstream media does'nt even have the cherry picked opponents name right.

Pacquiao was 9-1 to beat Marquez in their 4th fight.

Risking 12000 to win 1000 in a boxing match is somewhat risky, considering Mayweather could lose by freak injury.

"Ladies and gentleman 4 rounds have been completed, Mayweather has suffered an accidental headbutt. We go to the scorecards. All three judges have it 38-38, the decision is a draw."

There goes your safe 12,000 dollar bet! :nut

If your gonna bet 12k on that, honestly go sit at a Blackjack table instead.

Honestly might drop a g on Maidana at 12-1, I place real odds at closer to 6-1 maybe even 5-1 depending on how they look at weigh in. Floyd is older, and as long as his shot is - in real terms I give Maidana a much better chance of pulling off an upset than I did any of Floyds last 3 opponents.

I doubt it was for the 4th. Probably for the 3rd fight where Pacquiao got totally outclassed and outboxed.
Pacquiao would not have been that heavy a favorite after getting outboxed like that.

The 3rd fight sold PPV's because there was a history between the fighters allready and the boxing media consensus was that Marquez outboxed Pacquiao each time.
The intrigue going into the 3rd fight was to see just how much boxistical improvement Pacquiao had gained from back in his 2nd fight with Marquez.
We found out did'nt we?

You're right, I meant the 3rd fight. Anyway, you said name a fight with odds that large that sold around 1 million buys, and I did just that.
