What do ppl think about the show so far personally i think its shaping uo to be a quality card really looking foward to it Luke Campbell v TBA...obviously intrested to see how london gold medalist and britains most successful ever am can adapt to the pro game very modest down to earth and likable lad hope he does the biz Kell Brook v Carson Jones tough first fight for them both kell needs a big performance to show his class for jones he can forget about fighting for world titles if he gets blasted out here alot on stake for both Tommy Coyle v Derry Mathews..very interesting fight here young up and coming coyle only has 1 defeat a close 3 round decision in PF to sykes but hasnt fought at the best level and has had things pretty much his own way how will he go in the trenches were mathews has been time and time again against good opposition Lee Selby v Viroel Simion.. good test here for selby agains romainian 3 time national champ a good boxer in his own right but a fight i expect selby to take between rounds 6-8 but will be entertaining while it last as is usually the case with selby Also ft good quality boxers such as John Ryder who is preparing for his showdown with BJ saunders. The likeable Rocky Feilding who has a big punch and will be looking to further his career And the also likable Curtis Woodhouse who will have a good test at lightweight against a good oponent in joe elfidh
There is 7/8 fights or fighters I'm looking forward to seeing Matthews V Coyle Brook V Jones Fielding V Concepion Woodhouse V Elfidh John Ryder Campbell Possibly Quigg Selby V Simion
ive absolutely not interest what so ever i watching Luke Campbell boxng, Fair play to the kid, he won a gold medal, but he's not near strong enough or cut out for the pro ranks, and i dont see why the likes of Frampton (now jumped as we know), Brook, Ryder etc..... should be on an undercard to some amateur ill still watch it mind, but the "main event" is a non event in my eyes
Can't see how you can say that after the kid hasn't even had a pro fight yet! People always seem to knock ams saying they won't be powerful enough etc. It's mental. Lots of people questioned Ogogo's power, and yet he delivered a devastating KO. Looking forward to see the lad progress, but I agree it's not a "main event".
Yeah that's how popular Hearn thinks he is, kinda like what they're doing with that double Olympic champ from China whose doing 70k tickets for 4 rounders.
No doubt Campbell will look great against tomato Cans but im tell ya the moment he fights a live opponent you will see just like steven smith a few on here were saying this kids gonna be a world champion look what happen to him as for ogogo its not a power thing with him its his bloody chin just wait till he gets taged....
It`s a decent show brought to Hull because Campball is an Olympic Gold medallist. The non Boxing fans of hull can see the their hero and might enjoy the other fights. Boxing fans have a decent bill to watch as well as seeing Campball debut it`s win win imo and who gives a **** what is classed as the main event.
Wow really is some strange ones on here what is it with some of you lads?? Why will he look good against tomato cans but fail at the top? bloody hell lads give him a chance. how do u know hes no were near strong enough or cut out for the pros? Some of these comments are laughable. hes the most successful am from gb olympic and euro gold world silver plus many more how can you compare him to stephen smith?? Hes one of the hardest workers in the gym ( a quote from mccraken) obv u dont get were he is without being very dedicated to his craft. amatuer is about hitting without being hit yet some of you think hes not suited to the pros because he doesnt stand and trade and go hell for leather in a am ring?? Hes sparring kevin mitchell for his debut. i think the lad deserves a chance to prove his worth in the pros at the very least
