AJ Ruiz now at the MSG, Eddies said just as much on Twitter without confirming it. Just read between the lines.

Anyone miffed it isn’t in the UK? Did team AJ really want to go back to the states? Or have they just simply dropped a bollock on the location and simply have no other option?

    Repeat or Revenge?

If AJ is to avenge the loss it's brilliant. Really ballsy and impressive. If he's to lose again it's a disaster and AJ will never make a name for himself in America. Huge pressure on this fight. Lets really see what Joshua is made of.

Sky will be absolutely fuming if it’s over there again, that much is for sure.

I personally think that Eddie is caught between wanting to run back to the safety of the UK for the rematch and clinging onto DAZN by catering to their needs.

Haymon will of course probably put a spanner in any plans for it to happen over here.

    Interesting times.

Fair play, bold move AJ. That's something that honestly has 10% of me rooting for Joshua. That's the action of a true fighting man!

I'm going to say this now if Joshua wins a rematch FAIRLY and Ruiz doesn't turn up weighing 300lbs I'll be amazed

    I don't see it though

Not on the ifl interview he didnt. He said MSG and Vegas were options as well.

Wembley and Spurs to me are just not realistic for that time of year.

He needs to right the wrong. I think it’s perfect and I’ll be travelling for it.

I quite like Hearn, but I'm taking the narrative that 'Joshua wants to right the wrong' with a pinch of salt.

If I remember correctly, Hearn was fairly adamant after the fight that the rematch would happen in the UK. His position has eroded since then and if the rematch takes place outside the UK, it makes Matchroom look weaker and that Hearn doesn't really call the shots.

None of us know how watertight any contract is about location, but I think the most likely reason is that there's pressure from DAZN and PBC to hold the fight in the US. More money holding it there anyway.

If it really is Joshua wanting to 'right the wrong' then that's a very admirable stance.

If Hearn was calling the shots for this there is absolutely no doubt at all that it would be held in the UK. I believe him when he says that Joshua wants the fight in MSG though.

A stadium fight in November/December would have been daft conditions for a fight imo.

It will be interesting to see how the judging goes this time because Ruiz was getting jobbed on the cards before that stoppage.

Im sure Joshua said the other week that he wants it back at MSG.

Then it looked like it was coming back to the UK. Makes me think this is what Joshua wants.

The DAZN pressure is probably also massive to have it there as well.

I'd rather it be back at MSG, would make it a more exciting fair fight. Would be a terrible look for Joshua if it was back in the UK and he got a home town decision or typical British stoppage to win the belts back. Winning them back at MSG would get ratings and be a big statement.

Me and the mrs are planning a trip to New York later this year.

If it falls within October half term, I’m there !

Exactly the same with us. Wanted to go before Christmas. So November/December would be perfect.
