Round 4

Gloyluo is being respectful of Gallagher's pop, giving him a wide berth and never dropping anchor while skimming the ropes and countering with both hands coming up from resting places on either thigh. Occasional slapping left hooks up top by Gloyluo in the hopes of slowing Gallagher down by dint of turning his face sharply around, if nothing else. Gallagher is starting to find a home for the diving right hand on the belt line, although his jab up top is still coming up several inches short. Gallagher keeping nonstop pressure on, just short on many occasions with head shots.

Round 5

Gloyluo is roping out the left jab into the face of Gallagher after scampering into the ropes and sitting on the middle one a spell. Gallagher is rowing out the high jab and varying-altitude right hand, never changing the script, relentless. Gloyluo is able to navigate the corners without getting pinned down, shimmying his shoulders and sometimes having to break into a lateral trot in squeezing himself out between the padded turnbuckle and the onrushing Gallagher. Slashing down-and-in-toward-center-line counters from Gloyluo while skipping on the backfoot, and Gallagher rushes into a pair with his feet crossed, and ends up going down and getting a count. Not hurt, flash KD, in a round Gallagher had been winning.

Could be a critical swing in points there, from 10-9 Gallagher to now 10-8 Gloyluo. Might very well be impactful on the outcome...

 

Round 6

Gallagher is angry now, attacking with renewed vigor, big soaring right hands up top and hard roundhouse swings at the body coming forward. Gloyluo starting to stand pat in the corner, waiting until the last second and then springing at Gallagher with a knifing counter jab on the mouth, or an overhand right or uppercut while falling off bodily to his side over an invisible clothesline. Gloyluo laying traps for an obliging Gallagher, but is cutting it a bit close at times, and getting clipped with right hands.

Round 7

Gloyluo is breathing heavily but still managing to stay a step ahead of Gallagher - but the price he's paying is that he seems unable to hold up his gloves for more than a moment's time. Gallagher is dinging the body with right hands, curled forward, never letting up and taking clever diagonal steps when Gloyluo tries escaping with a parabolic glide from one set of ropes to another. Gloyluo explodes with the odd counter uppercut combo but Gallagher is forcing him to duck an up-jab and then clipping him on the jaw with a well-timed right cross with regularity.

Round 8

Gloyluo is shuffling backward into the ropes, baiting Gallagher, staying just clear of his lunging jabs downstairs - and drops a HUGE right hand on his chin! Gallagher mildly stunned by that, it seemed. Perfectly aimed shot. Gloyluo looking a bit sharper now as he lines Gallagher up for counter jabs while zigzagging around the ring, leading Gallagher on a merry chase. First ninety seconds has been Gloyluo's on quality. Gallagher, however, starts to assume control by picking up his work rate and blasting Gloyluo several times unanswered on the body with hard digs. Gallagher marches on and Gloyluo drops him AGAIN walking into a down-and-in slashing right hand! Twenty seconds on the clock as the unhurt but frustrated Gallagher rises. He tries some more body shots, academic now.

No matter how one had the closer rounds scored, you have to believe that Gloyluo/Kiwitt has this in the bag now unless he gets kayoed..

 

Round 9

Gloyluo is tilting his weight in toward Gallagher, knees bent, arms stuck down straight with his knuckles eclipsing his kneecaps, and basting Gallagher's face with baby-soft left jabs as he comes forward. Hard right hands torpedoing the midsection by Gallagher as he presses in, but precious few of them are thudding home flush. Nice boxing from Gloyluo, in terms of movement and placement of the jab, but literally nothing on it and no power shots. Gallagher with the meaningful body shots, but so few & far between, and landing a very low percentage.
