Fight has gotten so monotonous (the fault of Antoh far more so than Iqbal) the commentators are now getting into a row over their local soccer clubs.

Huzaifah Iqbal brought in a sizable contingent of fans to root for him for having never fought professionally before.

The opponent trots happily into the ring, mugging & posing in military camo & beret, for his 101st professional bout, with only eight of them victories (and just one by KO). The commentators seem well familiar with him (and his devil may care attitude), remarking that his mustache alone makes him a legend.

 

Michael Elliott vs. Lewis van Poetsch, 4 rounds @ super middleweight

 

You can tell "Poochi" has picked up a few tricks over the years, cheekily strewing in a few snappy counters, but "Mikey the Rifleman" is railroading him with youthful aggression.

 

Wow, stark contrast between Elliott's close-range effectiveness and how sloppy and uncoordinated he looks when van Poetsch creates just a smidgen of distance.

 

Two zip Elliott, caught Poochi with a heck of a right as the second drew to a close. Despite his raw work-in-progress nature I'll be very impressed should Mikey get the stoppage here, as van Poetsch has only been halted in ten of a hundred contests.
