Maybe Tom Stalker, Jamie Conlan, Lee Eaton, Macklin and Boxercise could organise a Chippendale's night ("The Full MTK") to help see them through their newfound unemployment.
Its over but something tells me DK will always have some influence via some other human if not directly him. My issue i have is these hypocrites like Arum, Hearn and other broadcasters and promoters all dealt with DK from years ago knowing what he was, a drug baron. They didnt give a F because they were getting some nice ££ from he deals they were all making. Its only until the US Government are involved they want to act like they had no idea what kind of dude he was. F*** of them, they are all shysters in boxing. They may not all be drug barons but they are all scum of the earth humans tbh, and i say that as somebody who loves the sport. The ones that suffer as per usual are the little guys, which in this situation are the boxers. Many of them wont get a deal elsewhere now, not enough dates/work to go around so they will be left on the scrap heap. I hope some of them have a trade or business to fall back on, obviously some of the bigger names/draws will be ok as they will generate money for some other promoter. If they don't make money of sell tickets, those type will be out of a career. Its a shame it took a drug baron and a wash scheme to look after fighters financially. But may it be a lesson to those desperate to hit stardom, sometimes what shines gold is **** underneath. Beware.
You lost me here. Are you suggesting that these boxers are too ignorant to know who pays them? They were happy to be paid, like the promoters, by a drug lord. I would rather work in Aldi than be paid by a drug lord. These boxers are also scum.
Fair enough. It depends on heritage, upbringing, education and a bunch of other sociodemographic and psychographic factors, though.
That I agree with. 85% of people would take the money. I doubt a fellow of a boxing forum wouldnt but it is ehat it is.
Most people would take the money, and a boxing forum is probably a good representation of the types of people who would take the money. However, there are definitely some decent people on here.
Fair points made, nobody forced them to sign up, it could have been greed or desperation. Thing is the powers that be allowed DK and MTK to have a platform, an inciting one for hungry boxers hoping to make it, a lot of them probably not been paid what they are worth for years. Then suddenly, jackpot. I have never risked my life in the ring so cant comment on whether i would take the bait or not.
Taking or not taking the money does not represent a good barometer if you are or not a decent person. Money has always been the eye of the devil. Are you not a decent person if you would take the money? How about if you wouldnt take the money and go home and beat your wife because your poor? Too many nusnces to detail here really.
Making a living out of the misery of others not for me at any price. Even worse are the same people promoting this piece of scum as a great person then running for the hills now. Sunny Edwards, Conlans ....... the pile of shyte is a mountain
I do get that some are most certainly struggling financially. It's easier to empathise with these types than those who are already multi-millionaires. Although, saying that, they could also end up greedy if the cash were to come piling in. Life is full of temptations and if a person does not have a core moral framework then they will end up a mess, in some way or another, eventually.
Easy to lie about the subject on a boxing forum. Quite frankly I think you all would take it. Offcourse it s easy to say no when you know you would never be in the position to take the money. It s like saying I would never cheat on my wife with Marilyn Monroe. Because you would never get that chance. Hypocritical to the max in my opinion
