MTK Global, the boxing management company co-founded by alleged crime boss Daniel Kinahan, has ceased operations. Prominent names in boxing have been urged to cut ties with Kinahan, alleged to be the head of an Irish organised crime gang, after he was targeted with sanctions by the US government. In April, the US government announced a $5m (£3.8m) reward for information leading to the arrest or conviction of the leaders of the Kinahan crime cartel.
Something they should have done a long time ago. They say Kinahan was no longer involved with them but they still should have closed up shop since his name is always attached to their company.
Years ago I asked how did Matthew Mackin have the money to start a promotion? I asked did he come from money? Because i knew he didn't make that much money during his career. Now I know how he started it.
United Arab Emirates have freezed Kinahan's assets. I wonder if they got one of their coke speedboats and fled Dubai? MTK and Probellum are done.
The current administration should investigate itself before going after the comparatively angelic Kinahans.
