Pretty garbage undercard tbh, your typical MTK schlock, full of gross mismatches - but the main event is a domestic clash of young unbeaten prospects for the vacant BBBofC Southern Area super featherweight title.

Seems to be a boxer vs. puncher affair on paper. Adams is 8-0 with just one career stoppage. Carr is 10-0-1 but I've read some very hyperbolic statements about his supposedly huge power. Used to kayo guys left and right in the amateurs, it's said.

McDonagh's bird is proper thick. I'd smash her to bits.

Connelly has a 7-49-4 (0) record, and is currently on an 0-22-1 skid. That last victory? It came over two years ago, versus an even more archetypal British paid-to-go-rounds-and-lose-all-but-guaranteed journeyman, Kristian "Mr. Reliable" Laight, who retired last summer with a record of 12-279-9, and never scored a kayo in his career... and, impressively, was himself only stopped five times.

Connelly, similarly, has never scored a KO, and has only been stopped in 7 of his 49 losses.

 

McDonagh well in control here, but not looking especially brilliant. I'd read he was a very good amateur, one article claiming even that Kent had a potential world class blue chipper on its hands, but ...not seeing that. Just a high workrate southpaw, bang average punch selection and execution to my eyes. I'd call his ceiling area or at best domestic titles.
