    Round 4

Carr is harassing Adams, giving him no room to breathe, showing a jab and then jumping in with overhand rights. Adams is consistently backed into corners so that he is left with no choice but to lurch in and grab Carr in midair to mitigate the impact by smothering him with a clinch. Carr very aggressive, not doing terribly clean work but preventing Adams from getting off and roughing him up at the very least despite most of his shots getting blocked or deflected when Adams swoops in to clinch.

    10-9 Carr

    39-37 Carr

    Round 5

Adams has rediscovered the virtues of moving and jabbing. Carr is stymied once again. Nice pull-counter rights by Adams from mid-range before circumnavigating or tying Carr up. Wild hacking combs by Carr attempting to corral Adams into the corner, but Adams proving too slippery now that he knows what Carr's about, ducking and springing out the side door, and dusting Carr with some light counters before grabbing some more.

    10-9 Adams

    48-47 Carr

Improbably enough, this is the second really well-matched and entertaining (and decent skill level) main event of this lazy Sunday (in the afterglow of both Daylight Savings and the late-night emotional rollercoaster that was Krusher vs. Canelo) that literally only @Somachenko and I seem to know or care about.

    Round 6

Carr is swarming and clapping both gloves over the sides of Adams' head. Adams is able to do good work after pouncing outside to lie in wait and then crank the lead right into Carr's face as he pursues. Carr landing a bit more, factoring in his far-reaching hooks scrubbing Adams just above the hip, but Adams' counters are the cleanest and prettiest stuff by a mile, and his defense is ensuring that nothing Carr lands is perfectly square.

    10-9 Adams, close

Adams has a far more visually appealing style. Carr is pretty rudimentary. I think Adams should be able to pull away with this if he keeps up the plan from rounds 6 and 7

    Round 7

Carr is turned southpaw now, interesting choice, but otherwise doing the same thing, plowing ahead with big telegraphed chopping blows on the in-step. Adams is still able to wriggle clear and circle by him landing precise and sharp pot shots with both hands with consistency.

    10-9 Adams

    67-66 Adams

Yep, seems to have solved the puzzle and the Cannon doesn't strike me as the most adaptable "plan B" or "think on his feet" kind of guy. :sisi1

He is the MTK house fighter, though, so while on my card (and presumably yours) he is approaching "needs a KO to win" territory, might not be the case..

    Round 8

Carr is making it easy for Adams, trotting in and leading with power shots or with lazy double jabs left suspended at full extension in the air before winding up the right. Adams carving him up with the counter jab coming in. Carr is now trying a diversionary uppercut on the belt line on the way in before hooking up top, but Adams is able to adjust, stuffing the former with his left arm, then pivoting away to dodge the hook and countering with the 1-2 as he creates distance, or clinching.

    10-9 Adams

    77-75 Adams

Well I think we also may be in a situation where it’s a scoring referee, so there’s always a chance of that going horrible wrong

Oh...right, good point. Do refs score 10-rounders in the UK? For some reason I had recollected they only did 8 and under.

I’m pretty sure they score 10 rounders too, including most area title fights unfortunately

    Round 9

Carr is getting some licks in now as both seem to be fatigued, Adams dropping anchor to brawl a bit more often now and eating some hooks - but still landing the best stuff with his incisive 1-2 and keeping the Cannon honest, for now. Carr grimaces as their heads clash in a rough clinch. Hard swipes on the body with the free hand by Carr. Adams loading up on single blows jumping in, always eager to initiate the next tie-up. Carr working better on the inside.

    10-9 Carr, very close

    86-85 Adams

    Round 10

Carr is rushing in and firing uppercuts with both hands. Adams does a fair job of avoiding them despite the proximity, and then finds his optimal range after taking a couple of half-steps outside and lining Carr up for zinging right hand leads. Carr swarms in and forces Adams to clinch. They separate and now Adams goes downstairs with some big pendulous wrecking balls. Carr unable to get anything going as he is headbutted in the stomach, knocking him against the ropes where Adams continues to work the body. Carr gets in a nice two-piece on the gob in the final ten seconds, but not enough to steal the round and salvage the draw on my card.

    10-9 Adams

    96-94 Adams

Crowd became appreciatively livelier in the second half, at least.

Gave the last round to Adams but I’m not sure which way this will go. Could see it anywhere in the range or 96-94 Adams to 96-94 Carr.
