"...right, Jazza, you've got a fight coming up in a couple of hours and you sound like a muppet. Howzabout you do a bit of commentary instead of hanging about your dressing room getting your game face on?"

    "Don't see why not"

I hate to be too choosy or sound ungrateful to MTK & iFL TV, as there have certainly been many a sad Friday with no televised boxing on, but for basically the de facto most interesting card of the day this is absolutely dreadful.

    Round 1

D¡ckinson is creeping in on Darch, jabbing down from a peekaboo guard, elbows tucked in tightly against his pecs. Darch is ducking in and hooking below his elbows, thudding into his ribs and then stepping outside with his arms folded over his brow. Darch is caught flush on the kisser with jabs at mid-range, leaving his gloves roaming from base as he seeks an opening, seemingly getting lost in thought as he studies D¡ckinson and leaving himself vulnerable. D¡ckinson is changing up the altitude on his jab, scoring on the point of the chin and the middle of the breastplate in succession. D¡ckinson slides in with a slapping left hook followed by a free-swinging right uppercut, telegraphed but taking advantage of the hook stunning Darch momentarily, landing and snapping Darch's head back.

    10-9 D¡ckinson

    Round 2

D¡ckinson is forcing Darch onto the backfoot with stiff jabs on the grill and some body shots whilst fallen over sideways into a deep lean. Darch is throwing underhanded volleys at the body the few times he's allowed to wade in undeterred, but D¡ckinson is catching everything on his elbows. D¡ckinson is mostly in control and pressing forward, pressing his inner forearms against his face and just mowing Darch into the ropes, picking him off with body shots and chopping rights up top. Darch wobbles to his corner after the bell, favoring one leg...

    10-9 D¡ckinson

    20-18 D¡ckinson

"The Scorpion" Medrano is riding an 0-37-2 skid going back almost six years to his last win. This is a major step down for "Kid Shamrock" Metcalf, who most recently fought (and stopped) Aitor Nieto for the WBC International 154lb title last June.

Metcalf drubs Medrano down into the canvas with a series of left hooks in triplicate, making him flop on all fours and call it a day.

TKO8! Onto the business end of the card...

I’ve grown from being pretty grateful for the MTK and IFL TV partnership to absolutely hating it lol. The cards are so bad that they can actually affect my entire mood as it pertains to watching boxing for the rest of the weekend. But my boxing-related FOMO causes me to torture myself with every card, especially since they’re so easy to watch
