Round 1

They circle and jab together at mid-range for the opening minute. Rose fires the first spiteful punch, a perfectly timed hammering right hand that immediately drops Hagenimana like a sack of potatoes, striking his temple and shattering his equilibrium. Rose continues to peck at him with the jab once Hagenimana beats the count, not rushing things. Rose pursues Hagenimana around the ring, jabbing at the arms, looping a few rights around with a bark.

Round 2

Rose dominating with the jab. Hagenimana offering very little resistance, just orbiting and keeping up a high guard. Occasional clinches. Rose throwing naught but jabs for the most part, albeit in multiples at least. A few barking rights up top by Rose, caught on the arms. No punches from Hagenimana for a minute on end between sweeping hooks at the body that miss by half a meter.

Round 3

Rose simply carrying Hagenimana, working out some kinks, getting some rounds in. Rose practicing aim on his jab from all different angles. Isolated straight flurries by Hagenimana or lead uppercuts by Rose break up the action every half-minute or so, but all blocks or misses. Nothing landing but Rose jabs. Rose cracks him before the bell with a sneaky right skipping over the gloves.

This is quite dull. 40-35 Rose.

 

Brian the Lion probably operating at like 70% effort now, up from maybe thirty in the beginning stages at least. Doubling up on some right hands while trotting around Hagenimana but no serious or sustained attempts to stop him.

Ah, guess this was demoted to a 6-rounder.

Southpaw versus southpaw.

 

Ramadhan Shemtendwa keeeping up a busy pace but somewhat idiosyncratic and predictable. Sharp counter lefts from D¡ckens.

Ramadhan Shemtendwa dashing in with lead right hooks and lunging high line drive lefts. D¡ckens twitching out beyond his reach and returning with slingshot/pull-counter 1-2s.
