    Round 7

Durán is putting up a bit more of a fuss now, swatting at Flanagan with high left hooks with both heels springing up off the canvas, but Flanagan is able to control him with right jabs on the nose and left uppercuts on the body. Durán tries disrupting his rhythm with staccato bursts offensively, but nothing he's doing troubles Flanagan, who is able to widen his stance & place his feet in plenty of time and counter effectively.

    10-9 Flanagan

    70-62 Flanagan

So...you're not looking forward to Chris Algieri vs. Paulie Malignaggi, then?

    Round 8

Wild start by Durán, barging in and throwing hooks at the head with both hands to bait Flanagan into a brawl and hopefully land something lucky. Nothing doing. Flanagan is once again quick to put the dimmer on Durán's attempts to induce chaos. Flanagan has put away most of his tools now, just fixing the jab in one spot on Durán's face and tapping him with it until Durán gets sick of it and jumps in to clinch.

    10-9 Flanagan

    80-71 Flanagan

No, not really. I did my thread on him more as a favor. But I do admire how good his chin is and how damn tough he is.

Algieri is a beast when his coach lets him out of the cage like in Pac fight.

Just as well, he did no such thing. :sisi1 Not that Durán wasn't there on a silver platter for him to demolish.

Really puts into perspective just how weak a chin our pal Diego Magdaleno has. :ohno

Flanagan critical of his performance, says he was curious to experiment with some different things but shouldn't have gotten away from what Durán was hurt with early. He says he is hopeful that MTK will get him a big fight in 2020.

And how featherfisted Teofimo Lopez is.:D

Terry's garbled post fight interviews are sometimes more entertaining than his actual matches. He does look cool with that feral werewolf looking beard.

Let’s go Mr. Paziwapazi. Easily one of my favorite last names in boxing

Oof. Turbo's coach/manager or whatever talking about him still being the "best lightweight in Britain", which...okay, that's silly enough, Campbell would end his career IMO. But the guy then goes on to say "I feel like being the best lightweight in Britain merits a crack at Vasyl Lomachenko..."

Okay, that's QUITE a canyon of logic you just leaped across... lots to unpack there. Suffice to say, NO. Do not put Flanagan in with Loma, ever, please. He is tough, as @CST80 pointed out, but far too much so for his own good against somebody with the acumen and accuracy of a Hi-Tek. I'd be very nervous on Terry's behalf before, during and after that fight.

Near as I can tell, it actually is a ring name, or his primary one (along with Dula Mbabe); his birth name is Abdallah Shabani Pazzy.

Oh man, Sweet Caroline? I hate that song (and it has become an even bigger cliché) even more than All of the Lights. :nono:

    Now officially rooting for Pazzy.
