    Round 3

Surtees is digging hard uppercuts into the body with both hands. Mimoune is dropping his elbows and pinning them against his thighs, absorbing most of Surtees' punches before rallying forth with his own salvo, blasting Surtees with lefts between his eyes and big wide high-arcing right hooks landing behind his ear. Mimoune having prolonged success, driving Surtees into the ropes and landing sustained lengthy combinations to body and head, fluid shots, none of them supremely hurtful but with enough mustard to keep Surtees' respect.

    10-9 Mimoune

    29-27 Surtees

Yoon will get his head bashed in. Levels POTUS, levels. I never seen this Yoon kid fight though, so if I'm wrong, I'm not going to eat 100% crow, but this dude has literally fought no ones, and has been going the distance against journeymen that have been stopped multiple times.

    Round 4

Mimoune is able to snipe the body of Surtees from range, investing with long shallow left uppercuts and right hooks scratching at the chest as Surtees marches in. Hard lead rights by Surtees, buzzing at the hairline of Mimoune or whiffing, and leaving him open to medium- to light-power counters in speedy bunches from the Frenchman. Double rights hooks to head and body scoring for Mimoune as he ducks in front of Surtees, getting beneath his straight-extended arms. Surtees hurt for the whole final half minute, wobbled badly, into the ropes, going to go down - nope! Manages to stay up, just.

10-9 Mimoune, damn near a 10-8 even absent Surtees hitting the deck.

    38-37 Surtees

At end of 4th Surtees on the verge of being stopped.

I fear for him here. Unless he can wake up he loses via TKO here

    Round 5

Mimoune is lighting Surtees up with flash-bang line drive lefts on the bridge of the nose, causing him to shudder violently upon impact, and slashing at the body with the quick right hook, causing him equal distress as Surtees is openly mouth-breathing now. Surtees looks shaky from the opening bell and increasingly more so as Mimoune digs in and goes to work. Surtees knocked back and down by a punctuating left and he's out!

    TKO5!!

Surtees waved off as stopped having hit the floor

Just too much of a class difference there

Honestly, as poor as he looked at the start (I was ready to write him off after the 1st, and then again even after showing improvement after the second, mostly on account of the knockdown), this was a good showing by Mimoune...overcame adversity, clawed his way back in and close the show in unexpected style for being a feather-fist.

I'm evaluating the Mimoune vs. Ofori semifinal match-up in my head already - tricky one to predict. Ofori's switch-hitting ability might offset the southpaw advantage of The Problem - but there is still the further unmitigated problem of the height and reach advantage (not sure the precise stats on wingspan, but Mimoune is listed as standing three inches taller)

Five thousand pound sterling, that's Mimoune's kayo bonus.

Who could have imagined he would get one?

Seems like a nice chap Mimoune, good performance there after early trouble. Lot of respect for Surtees too - came to win and will be much better fighter for the experience. Area level will seem like a doddle in comparison!

Who's this heavily accented commentator? He's spot-on about the complexion of the fight changing as soon as Mimoune put his focus on Surtees' body (in round 3).
