"Baby Jake" is putting in good, flashy work - certain to coast to a shutout here, but little chance of stopping "The Wasp" (only two men have managed to do so in his 20 losses, both I believe with body shots and Robinson isn't really throwing any of those)

Phillips down! Chance for Baby Jake to make a statement.

Pump-fake straight left hand lead followed by a PEACH of a flush right hook on the kisser, and Phillips is down and out cold, face down on the mat.

    Wow!!!! KO5!

Hell of a showing by Robinson. Blazing hand speed.

Phillips is thankfully back on his feet. I thought he was dead for a second.

Yeah that was like a Maravilla-Punisher type KO. His body slammed down like a felled tree with sickening velocity.

Yeah, it was gruesome, KO6 came to mind as well. He's still not out of the woods yet it seems.

Jacob Robinson improves to a 3-0 (2) record, and the one guy he didn't stop is Jamie "Devil Child" Quinn who is 4-61-2 and has only ever been stopped once!!! (and even that was a jaw injury corner retirement)

So yeah, while he's green and this is too early to really tell anything regarding his prospects, it would appear that Baby Jake has it all going for him, on paper.

He's back up again, got out of the ring with a little help, they brought a stretcher out for him..

Yeah, if I can never again watch another Kovalev vs. Simakov unfold live before my eyes, it'll be too soon.

Just did some digging, turns out Baby Jake is the son of Steve "The Cinderella Man" Robinson, who became WBO featherweight champ in the early 1990's and had a brief reign as Euro champ at the end of the decade.

I'm calling it right now: unless he's plagued by injuries or mismanagement, there is no reason Jacob oughtn't have 5x the career his dad had. Loads of talent, glad I tuned in just in time for this.

Yeah, I didn't even see it live, I watched it on Youtue afterward, terrible mistake, that was why I was so triggered by the Quillin-Zefara KO on here, I thought for sure I'd seen someone die in the ring live.
