Muamer Hukić (Marco Huck) & Tahir Kahrović (Tommy Punch) co-feature

May twentieth at Eisstadion Braunlauge. Headlining a card on DAZN. Ten rounds scheduled at heavyweight.

38-year-old former cruiserweight titlist and one-time heavyweight world title challenger Hukić makes his return to action following a near three year layoff. His fellow German citizen - and, in fact longtime protégé (Kahrović has been trained and managed by MH Boxing since 2018) is also naturally a cruiser, having campaigned there for much of his 20-0 (14) pro career.

Kahrović is 6′1½″, half an inch shorter than his mentor. He is a dozen years Hukić's junior.

If victorious, Kap'N Huck said he wants to go after either Agit Kabayel or Mahmoud Omeirat Charr. I wonder if he loses, whether he'll (well first off, retire for good but also) pivot to promote Kahrović against either of them.

There is some footage online to be found of Tommy Punch...might post some up later (right now on my phone and still hating/not used to all the layout changes for the forum on Android browsers, just saw the fight announcement so quickly made this poll thread while taking a crap) or somebody else can. Based on his record - which very well may be padded, in Germany it's a tossup - and youth I guess you have to consider him a threat for a guy pushing 40 with so much rust...but then again, is he really going to want to kick his boss's ass?

 

Huck apparently reached out to former trainer Ulli Wegner to work his corner for this and the old man replied that he was laid up in a hospital bed for surgery, and crazy ass Marco was like "oh yeah, right, cool, sorry...but like...could ya?"

Looks strong and solidly built, thick back and upper body overall (but not very toned), but he's kind of slow and predictable with his shots.

 

I saw the report from last week that he was looking for an EE opponent but figured he couldn't find a suitable one and went for an in-house match instead. If they're not fighting then that poster has some very confusing design (both of them super large next to each other, with the undercard bouts shrunk down below them listing each person's name h2h).

 

I literally put their nicknames parenthetically in the thread title...if you've never heard of Marco Huck that's on you.
