    bs stoppage my ass

Pauli was losing years of his life in those last seconds, he threw 2 punches at the end he didnt knew he was throwing. Pauli's face tonight when it got stopped looked of that of acceptance other than of anger in the Hatton fight.

I think the stoppage was justified. PM, tough as he is, was taking a lot of punishment. A fighter's health should be top priority in these cases.

It would've been a BS stoppage if it happened out of nowhere at that moment, but since the ref had displayed he was thinking about stopping it before the round started, I can understand it. It was very similar to the Cotto/Pac fight in the sense that the ref was looking for any time to stop it and was on the verge for a while.

Props to Khan for his victory and props to Paulie for hanging in there, but I did feel there was an overall eagerness from a lot of people to stop the fight quite a way before I would have even mentioned it.

It was a good stoppage. There was a dramatic shift around the 8th/9th round where Paulie realised he just couldn't cope with Khan anymore and was just looking to survive. He was getting overwhelmed, hurt badly and had no chance of winning.

Malignaggi has to be saved from himself sometimes. He's obviously a proud man, with buckets of courage and a solid chin, so he's still clinging on after a few rounds of a pretty solid beating. They gave him a couple chances to get back in it, but where's the point in the ref letting him take the punishment for no reward.

Invisible opponent has a biscuit chin...

Seriously though, when Smoger stepped in & Paul threw that jab it was pretty much the story of the fight. The Jab wasn't snappy, pretty much a flick & Khan was already on the other side of the ring & Paulie looked pretty dejected.
