Middle weight. The mugabi that took Hagler in to the eleventh in a tough fight vs the Duran that beat Iran barkley?

Mugabi was a force for a short time. He is remembered for his great battle with Marvin Hagler. He came really determined to win that title. This would be a blistering fight. Duran was much slower than he once was but he was still slick and smart. I think Duran would land the cleaner shots on Mugabi. Eventually I think he would do damage. Either by hurting Mugabi mid to late or busting him up. Duran wasn't a huge Middleweight puncher but he could still hurt almost anyone because of his accuracy and precision.

I would say both guys get rocked at some point but Duran wins a decision or perhaps stops Mugabi late.

Yep can definitely see both men been hurt, Duran would take it better and keep coming back. By round ten Duran s just laying into mugabi and can see the ref jumping in.

Mugabi by SD. Duran from Hagler fight wins UD though, that Duran was slicker

Duran is my favorite, this was his last phenomenal performance and he would have enough to beat the Beast here.

I think this fight ends by KO either way. I could see vintage Duran busting up Mugabi putting on a clinic like he did in the Moore or Barkely fight but I think it would be different with Mugabi. I'm picturing Mugabi in his prime catching Duran and putting his lights out.

What a battle this would've been! But what a tough question indeed. The best thing Duran could do would be to smother Mugabi on the inside and rough him up dirty. I don't think standing toe to toe is a good idea. Not that he couldn't ship Mugabi's bombs but unlike Davey Moore, "The Beast" had huge power rivaling Julian Jackson as the premiere power puncher of the 80's.

Duran could pull a trick though.

I think the Duran that fought Curavas, Moore, and Hagler in that time frame gets by Mugabi...But the Duran that fought Barkley might not be quite quick enough...but with that said, Duran stylistically killed guys that came to him...

After Hagler Mugabi was shot, Duran by big decision or KO

I think Duran could win a close decision. I don't see him stopping Mugabi. Mugabi hit harder than Barkely, too. Duran would have to be inspired like he was against Barkely. If this was a non-title fight I think Mugabi wins it.

Mugabi batters the smaller Duran for either a UD or late TKO.

Mugabi was fast and sharp, he really pushed Hagler...I couldn't pick between them, as he was naturally bigger than Duran too
