    Two things have to be said for Fitz.

    1. A lot of contemporary observers said that no two Fitzsimmons fights were the same. He was incredibly adaptable.

    2. Fitz could hurt anybody with a nervous system with a well timed shot.

    I have reason to think that many of Fitzsimmons contemporaries would back Ali in this fight because some of them picked Gene Tunney over him.

    Even so, it could get interesting.

    Although back in those days people would have struggled to see most of Fitzsimmons bouts and there memory could change things.
