Muhamed Ali vs Rocky Marciano prime for prime

I just said it in the ezzard joe thread but I'll do here as well.

Everytime the game was stepped up on Marciano, Marciano just raised his power level. Never seen him capped out, dunno his limits, and to limit him because you assume a little more of something that failed would do him in is pretty damn disrespectful to everything he meant to accomplish.

2 great fighters, who fought the best of their respective era's, rematched hard fights. This is a very competitive battle with both having strengths & weakness that could play into the others strength ot weakness.

Both had strong wills & heart and mental strength.

Joe Frazier said only 2 heavyweights could beat him Louis & Marciano and he felt they could both beat Ali.

Ali said Marciano was better than Frazier so Rocky would be a tough challenge.

Respect to both men and this fight would be one of the best ever along with Louis-Dempsey

Those siding with Marciano are most certainly not doing so for any boxing reason.

Simple question to both Bummy & RockyJim.

Who, throughout history, do you actually favour to beat Marciano?

I have asked this question a few times before and as yet have never received an answer.

 

According to bummy marciano would beat prime foreman.because qawi "landed some shots on old foreman and old foreman was better than prime foreman" lmao what an idiot

 

Stock answer.,"he would find a way to win." He was Rocky after all!

 

you are either in the 4th grade or severely handicapped, opinions are not gospel but they carry weight but in my opinion it is a very competitive fight.

You know the camel laughs at the other camel in the desert until he sees his reflection in the river and realizes that he also has a hump on his back, go take a good look at you image & have a good laugh

 

Ali may have been able to beat him but its not a given, Prime Joe Louis may have been able, Marciano-Dempsey would have been a war. Any great could lose to another great and that goes for Ali, Johnson,Lewis,Vlad, etc. but no certainty that any of them would lose or win to another in their respective era's

 

I can't buy into the Mariano myth that he always comes back from losing to beat any one .So I'm picking Ali to beat the over matched Rock by a unanimous decision. I don't know what it takes to stop a prime Ali ..but if Frazier ,Foreman and Liston can't I don't see Rock either.
