A few versions of Ali and Tyson have been matched up over the past few months. How about this one ? The Ali of the second Quarry fight against the Tyson who went at it twice against Ruddock. Ali was just about at his 70's best, while the '91 Tyson was HIS best post prime version. I say Ali by clear decision or late tko. Too tough, and possessing too much variety for Tyson.

I`d agree, I think a points win is more likely than a stoppage, Ali by clear decision, he looked `on` that night vs Quarry.

Disagree, any beating Ive seen Tyson take before he was a complete & utter shell of himself he took like a soldier, Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis.... all put a **** of a whuppin on Mike & his heart took him further than most HWs would have.
The words out & shield spring to mind.

Considering people like James Smith and Tony Tucker went the distance with a PRIME Tyson, you think that Mike would knock out an Ali who was better,in all departments, than those two ? Strange !

Ali by KO in 9-12 rounds.

The only match-up of versions of these fighters that would favour Tyson would be an '86 to '88 absolute prime version of Tyson against a shot '76 - '81 Ali.

Tyson couldn't endure the beating Frazier had to take when he beat Ali over 15 rounds. Tyson couldn't fight at that pace either.
Also, Tyson was NOT better than Frazier.

Norton was just an awkward style that Ali couldn't figure out. Completely different type of fighter to Tyson.
