A thread was posted, recently featuring the '74 Ali v Mike Tyson 1996. How about one featuring that version of Ali against the man who took Tyson's title in '96. Ali would use the ring with fluid movement, and build up a good early lead. Holyfield would have his moments, especially when Muhammad would back onto the ropes, but Ali at 32,being the younger man by two years, and fresher,at this respective point in their careers would tko Evander in the latter stages. Thoughts ?

Holyfield would lose. He was too flat footed and slow at that point, and would have had trouble with a more mobile fighter of Ali's caliber.

Ali wins, on points or maybe late on cuts and swellings.
Holyfield would have his moments though.

Ironically, I believe the Holyfield from Holyfield-Qawi 2 would be a bigger test for that version of Ali despite the weight difference.

Ali would win but call me crazy I think holyfield has what it takes to deck ali at some point in that fight

I can see Holyfield soaking up punishment, and Ali calling for the ref's intervention,as in Muhammad's second fight with Jerry Quarry.

i wouldnt say holyfield was flat footed in 96 myself he had far more bounce in his legs than tyson had at that point but id still have fancied ali at that stage
