So are you essentially saying Ali would fight on his heels backing up the whole fight and counterpunch his way a win??
He would go on the offense sometimes, but most of the time no. And thats now he beat a lot of his opponents, by going backwards and wearing them out with jabs and right hands
:good:good right on Tommy, you knew what I was saying!! The fight would be similar to the win over Foreman but Lewis would not be applying the hyper pressure that George was since Lewis is a much more measured fighter.. That trait gets him hit often with multiple punches when Ali takes up the offense, as the fight wears on Lewis may be the one who starts to back away and if he does Ali may stop him..
I like Ali in this one. I also think this version of Ali might be the best one to cope with a SHW like Lennox. Just the right combination of size, strength and speed to deal with such a big opponent. HW,s don't need to dance around the ring all night to be effective (Just ask Joe Louis). Ali had enough mobility left to give any HW fits and his hand speed was still excellent...especially his lead right and that would find Lennox enough to trouble him. Ali would have to careful of course but he would adapt and win this dangerous chess match probably by decision.
