    How would the Ali that fought Shavers do against the Cobb that fought Shavers?

    I think even that version of Ali gets a wide decision win over cobb.

    Not well.

    I doubt the judges would give Cobb the decision. But it would be close - like Norton-Cobb in 1980 close.

    Ali dec. He had enough left to beat prime Cobb. Tex beat Shavers because he could take the faded Shavers bombs and clearn up when Ernie gassed.

    although all MA could do at the time was just swat at his opponent, he still had better coordination than Cobb. see Larry Holmes - Cobb
