Ha! You know that you don't believe the above.

If Sanders and Puritty hadn't have knocked Wlad out, you'd probably be calling them bums.

Likewise, if guys like Thompson and Rahman had have done, you would class them as some sort of monsters who Ali would have struggled against etc.

    1. Ali losing to Spinks, (way past prime) losing to Frazier, and Norton (past prime) has nothing to do with the title of this thread.

    2. There's no evidence to suggest that Wlad would have gone through Frazier and Norton early.

    3. Wlad's been knocked out by Sanders, Puritty and Brewster in his 20's, he went life and death with a limited Sam Peter, and he struggled to land clean on Haye, while Haye was only a few inches away from him, trapped up against the ropes.

Ali went life and death with everybody, scores of utter bums took him to the brink, putting him on his arse on the way.

Your rose tinted glasses are so tinted they have completely blinded you.

    Elroy,

What do you mean he was found and caught by all of his opponents?

It's a fight. Two fighters fighters each other. It's not a game of chess. No fighter can fight anybody without getting hit at some point.

Of course Ali's opponents landed something on him.

But how many landed clean shots to hurt him or beat him?

Of course Wlad would have caught him, as in landed shots. But I don't believe that he'd have caught him flush, to either stop him, or enough times to beat him on points.

Like I keep saying over and over again, styles and circumstances dictate the outcome of a fight.

Foreman crushed Frazier. But in my honest opinion, Ali would always have had a harder time against Frazier than Foreman, even if he'd have fought them both while prime.

Again, Wlad may have beaten Doug Jones and Karl Mildenburger etc. He may even have done it with ease.

But that doesn't mean that Wlad would have caused the same trouble to Ali. Doug Jones was a fast, former LHW, and Ali was a young 21 year old Clay at that point.

Mildenburger was a southpaw, who Ali fought in a 15 round fight, just one month after fighting Brian London in a scheduled 15 round fight.

Can you imagine a fighter today, having two scheduled 15 round fights in one month?

Of course. To a certain extent. But again, look at the Haye fight. The Haye fight tells us that Wlad would have had a nightmare against Ali's movements.

You rate Haye very highly, and you think Haye has similarities to Ali.

But Ali was superior to Haye.

    Only in your opinion.

Do you think today's HW's - Wlad, Pulev, Adamek, Fury, Helenius, Arreola, Haye, Povetkin, Thompson and Wilder etc, would just breeze past Jones, Liston, Patterson, Chuvalo, Terell, Williams and Folley etc like they were nothing?

    That's just poor uneducated ignorance.

    Smashed?

By a guy who thinks that Ali had never seen anything like Puritty and Sanders?

    :rofl

Ali went LIFE and DEATH with EVERYBODY? :patsch

Wlad got his ass handed to him by Sanders, Puritty, Brewster, then needed his Big Bro to help him out, then struggled with the limited Sam Peter, who dropped him multiple times, and he couldn't knock out a chinny David Haye, who was only inches away from him, trapped up against the ropes. :good

Want me to list everyone who Ali couldn't knock out or was dropped by?

Wlad learned and improved after those fights he lost. Haye would most likely KO Ali, Wlad won almost every round against him.

    Yeah.

Give me the huge list of names who dropped Ali.

Ali was primarily a boxer, and not a fighter. He didn't always go for the knockout.

    Wlad learned and improved?

    After each knockout?

    Or after all three?

He went life and death with a limited Sam Peter, supposedly while prime.

What evidence is there to suggest that David Haye would have knocked out a prime Ali?

Ali never lost to anyone as bad as Ross Puritty, not even when he was suffering from Parkinsons. Even Tervor Berbick, who he went the distance with whilst ill, is no worse than Sanders who annihilated Wlad in 2 rounds.

Now I know you Klittards will say that the Puritty loss somehow doesn't count because Wlad was 'green', well how about this for food for though. While a 'green' Wlad suffered an embarrassing loss to cherry picked journeyman Puritty, an even more 'green' Ali stopped elite level Sonny Liston in fight where he was a massive underdog, to become heavyweight champion of the World.

Banks, Cooper, Frazier, Wepner...I said Ali was dropped or couldn't KO lots of guys, which is true. You tell me, how many guys did Ali fail to KO?

If Henry Cooper almost KOd him and forced him to cheat to win, then what the **** would Wlad do if he landed flush on easy to hit Ali?

There can never be evidence of anything in mythical match ups, but are you saying it would've been impossible that Haye could hit Ali and make him stay hit, when 'Our 'enery' almost done it and forced Ali to cheat to win?

Ali must be some superhuman mythical comic figure. Can't be hit, can't be KO'd, can't be beaten!

Ali would only have failed to have knocked out guys, if he'd have gone all out for the knockout, but wasn't able to do so.

Again, Ali was a boxer. Roy Jones took guys the distance where he didn't try to get them out of there.

    All you've got is IF.

If is the biggest word in the dictionary. Cooper caught a young Clay.

That doesn't mean that Wlad would have caught a prime Ali.

Of course it wouldn't have been impossible for Haye to have knocked him out. Nothing is impossible when two guys are fighting each other.

But if I objectively analyse Ali in his 20's prime, and I analyse David Haye, then I have to say that it would be highly unlikely, all things considered.

Isn't it ludicrous? It wouldn't surprise me if history was eventually rewritten to erase all Ali's losses and knockdowns, and all his gruelling, close points victories against bums changed to first round KOs.

Thats the cold hard reality, Wladimir wouldn't last in a good era, he'd be blown away by some scrub journeymen, as he was in todays **** weak era.
