Muhammad Ali at his best vs. Wladimir Klitschko at his best, who wins?

One of Ali’s fundamental flaws is that he held his right hand out to the side when he jabbed and did not hold his rear right hand in position to block a counter jab. He relied primarily on leaning away from jabs to avoid them. This was a technical error exploited by Ken Norton. Wlad would jab Ali head off and eventually break down Ali with left hooks.

 

Ali was not at his best when he fought Norton.

 

Klitschko was not his best when he fought Sanders etc.

 

I think Karl Mildenbarger exploited if KM was a hard puncher instead of feather fisted things would have been much different.

 

Vlad pulls back worse than Ali but he's not nealry as fast and TOUGH

Wlad could barely beat Williamson.

Williamson came into the fight using a lot of movement and Wlad struggled to land a glove on him. On top of that Wlad got DROPPED.
By the 5th he was cut , exhausted and lucked out with a SD on a headbutt.

Williamson was terrible and would of beaten a gassed out Wlad by the 10th or 11th.

Ali destroys Wlad . He would have no clue what was going on.

The question is really not IF Wlad could beat him, obviously he COULD. But if they fought 100 times, Ali wins a staggering number. The question is not really who wins one fight, but who would win MOST of the time.

 

At their best, Ali would waste Wlad, and he would make it easy too. Nobody outboxed Ali at his best. I know that we're supposed to match fighters at their best, but Wlad's fans never do this. They picked an Ali fight where they think he struggled, and the minute you talk about how Wlad was ktfo, guys that beat Wlad would've been legends in hvw history, lmao.

So lets take Ali's best fight at his best, and take Wlad's best fight at his best and then match them at their best since Wlad's fans don't know which version of Ali to use.

Wlad couldn't hit a moving target. He couldn't hit Haye. Ali ate tall guys up for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wlad didn't have Frazier's style and nor did he counter punch like Norton. Wlad couldn't even outbox Davarryl Williamson, lmao.

Wlad's size would make him look like a big oaf trying to beat Ali at his best. Wlad didn't have the aggression or the offensive artillery/punch selection/style to beat Ali plain and simple.
