brilliant. His mind is clearly still so alive but his body won't allow him to show it.

While I respect Ali's boxing skills, I don't find much of the rest of his life appealing. He was a draft dodger and has down little to nothing for "his" people. Great boxer, poor human being. Then again, I could be wrong...

He's in no way a poor human being. . . . . . just a flawed one, like the rest of us.

great fighter and great human being!

the man's finest hour was refusing to support that phony war, which was carried out only to satisfy America's perverse lust for blood and imperialistic endeavours...i guess nothing changes.

his biggest mistake was being duped by that so called "nation of islam" cult, which was a reaction to the tense and racially charge times (KKK) sugar coated with some beautiful aspects of Islamic rules, manners and conducts to entice people in (a big percentage of the African slaves brought to the Americas were in fact Muslims) the NOI is Where his awful rhetoric came from which looks even more horrendous now, but has to be looked at in the context of the time (black people getting hang and lynched etc)

it has to be said that Ali did an awful lot for his people whether it was just pychologically, directly or indirectly he had a massive impact, the guy had a heart of gold by all accounts, with a wonderful personality.

some people would say he was slightly stained with his stint in the NOI, it also has to be said though that most of the people who joined that movement like Malcom X were attracted by Islamic aspects which is emphasized by the fact that almost all of them have left once they realised the massive theological deficiencies of the NOI and found the True mainstream orthodox Islam of which Ali was one, in fact it was the single largest conversion ever.

The Vietnam War was bull****. And no I am not just saying this in hindsight. It was a bull**** war that the United States should've never involved themselves in.

You are very wrong. Ali learned from Joe Louis mistake. Ali simply wasn't a stupid man. Big props to him for not taking part in that sh*t.

Einstein said it best with this quote :

''A warless world starts with people refusing to get in armies. As long as armies exist, any serious conflict will always lead to war''.

There's just so much involved about why wars start in the first place, that the common mind can't even begin to comprehend the hidden truth...
