Liston and Patterson were ATGS.

 

Liston is an ATG HW and ATG power puncher. Patterson the first 2 time HW champion, schooled by Cus D'amato,fast, powerful and tons of heart. Patterson is an ATG. Not top 10 but in the top 30.

Shavers was not an ATG HW but WAS an ATG power puncher.

And he beat Liston and Patterson twice each.

 

floyd patterson would have been a great cruiser in later era's, he was basically undersized in a lot of fights but still did pretty well for himself.
Holy vs patterson would have been great.

 

Oh yes it was, maybe over the years Ali's undeserved hero status made controversy go away, and other decisions he got undeservedly tok away from Shavers bout, but it was a robbery. Not as bad as Norton fights, but Shavers deserved it.
