Admiring him is one thing but he is not worthy of the ridiculous levels of worship he receives.

When did I say people admired him to **** me off?

    'Broke ass'? Please explain.

Why not? I'm not entitled to an opinion?

I'm allowed to say he didn't deserve it just as much as you are allowed to say he did deserve it.

Yeah but we are allowed to have an opinion on it though right? The guy is treated like a God,had he not been as entertaining out the ring,he would not get the same adulation,he was a great promoter..

Most people do see him as those things though, which is why he IS overrated.

I think the reason Ali gets the benifit of the doubt is because he was really robbed of most of his prime boxing years. By the time he got back to the top, he was in his 30's. We've never seen a hw with Ali's combination of athletism and toughness. And we haven't seen one since. Usually athletes get better as the years go on but in the case of the hw division, it's gotten worse (you can blame american football and basketball for that). Boxing will never compensate its athletes as well as other sports do. So I fear we will never get a hw even remotely close to having Ali's talent ever again.

I think this is something boxing fans understand. So we appreciate the uniqueness of Ali.

Frazier didn't quit,he was fighting with Eddie Futch, cos he wanted to keep fighting.Ali quit but as Dundee was trying to convince him to fight on,Futch had stopped the fight.Ali admits to this

at Hw,he's 1 or 2,no doubt but p4p i feel there are agood number of fighters that were more skilled,or just better fighters.I love Ali but he was not flawless, like some think. Its considered an insult if you don't think he's the best ever for **** sake
