I now hope that Pac retires after the Clottey fight.

I hope he wins the election and become a public official. That way he will not be tempted to go back in the ring atfer he retires.

But wasn't Ali doing it for the money?
King the filthy devil **** got Ali to fight two fights that could have ended the man in hopital for good or dead.

There was once a brash young loud mouth named Cassius Marcellus Clay who claimed he could knock out the heavyweight champion of the world, the much feared Sonny Liston. Most people thought this young upstart was all bark and no bite. I was seven years old, and I believed him. To this day I clearly remember arguing vehemently on the school bus. "Cassius Clay is the greatest. He will knock Sonny Liston out!"

Years later Cassius Clay, AKA Muhammad Ali, took an unpopular stand against a war few people even understood. Ali did not need to go to Viet Nam to fight a war. There was a battle raging right here in the streets of America, and that was Muhammad's war.

Three and a half years later Ali returned to the ring. In spite of the long lay off, there would be no tune-up fight. Muhammad immediately stepped in the ring with highly ranked, and very skilled, Jerry Quarry. The same Jerry Quarry who beat Floyd Patterson, and engaged in a fight of the year type fight with Joe Frazier. Ali took Quarry out in 3 rounds, and made him look like a club fighter along the way.

A mere two months later Ali fought a title elminator with Oscar Bonavena. One of the toughest men who ever dawned a pair of boxing gloves. Ali beat Oscar by 15th round TKO, but lost in his first fight with Frazier.

As we all know, Ali beat Frazier in two rematches, and ultimately became a 3 time world heavyweight champion during one of the best eras in boxing history.

Cassius Marcellus Clay, AKA Muhammad Ali, is not only the greatest heavyweight champion in history, he is also one hell of a human being, and the man who made me a boxing fan.

In some cases i agree it would, but i think the people that would take it that way are the people who already want to get out as fast with as much money as they can and don't give a damn about the sport or its fans.People already know the dangers of boxing, its not like you would be showing them something that could happen that they don't already know could happen, but you would be showing them just how much some off the great fighters from the past respect and love the sport and its fans. The same kind of respect and appreciation is much harder to find with todays fighters.

The ESPN documentary about the Ali-Holmes fight was one of the saddest things I've ever seen.

I don't think any other athlete ever has had such an effect on so many people. There is something about Ali that you just cannot describe in words. The word 'legend' is used way too much these days. Ali is a real living legend.

I don't think that Ali would want you feeling sorry for him. He's still the greatest.

Ali was once traveling somewhere, and ran across a scene where a guy was going to commit suicide by jumping off a building. He went up and talked the man down. True story. When a crowd of thousands of people would show up somewhere Ali was, he would wade out into the middle of them, shaking hands, giving hugs, signing autographs. That's true too. Ali is one of the greatest men of our time.

Muhammad Ali is as close to Superman as you can get without being from Krypton.
