depends on the swivel and the bag, the speed bag at my gym are one of those bags that you have to hit it a bit harder to really get it to move but its never as smooth as that bag. Then there's the second one, we have the same one moves smoothly but is a bit bigger.

I would say that due to his size, Wlad's speed & footwork is underrated. It's the reason Haye found it so difficult to land flush.

As with everything Ali did, it wasn't WHAT he did, it was HOW he did it...he just oozes natural style..that's what made him what he was and it is a rare almost indefinable quality...it's why people that have that gift become super stars no matter what their chosen pursuit.

For punching in bursts, you have to give it to Tyson.

He could unleash 3-4 rapid fire shots all with power

...ive nmever actually seen the point of the speed bag. I remember watching an interview with Barry Maguigan where he says the same.

Its a good fitness tool perhaps, but you clearly never actually punch like that in a fight.

Couldnt you just hit a heavy bag as fast as you can to gain real speed.

Its about timing and hand eye coordination...the name "speed bag" is not representative of its purpose.

Actually....in the very beginning hand/eye coordination is key and the speed bag helps in those areas.....but after finding your rhythm and learning how to hit the speed bag...it really is all about building up your speed. That's why boxers can literally..."do it with their eyes closed".

The double end bag is more for hand/eye coordination.

Good clips, Ali IMO is p4p the fastest fighter ever, its not normal to have that speed when 6`3 & weighing 215 lbs.
