This one is actually shockingly hard, because there are just too many, and the fighters too great. For me...

    George Foreman
    Joe Frazier III
    Sonny Liston I
    Joe Frazier II
    Sonny Liston II
    Ken Norton II
    Floyd Patterson 1
    Jimmy Ellis
    Jerry Quarry I
    Floyd Patterson II

Usually I do an "other notables," but they are too numerous to name. Just some notes on my picks...

    - Not including Norton III, Jimmy Young, or Ernie Shavers because of their controversial nature. Although only Norton III would have got on there anyway
    - Similarly, Lyle was thought a quick stoppage
    - I understand that for Patterson II, Floyd had a very bad back and really couldn't fight, so I could be convinced to switch in something, here.
    -I don't consider Liston II a dive.

    Liston I,II
    Foreman
    Lyle
    Norton II
    Frazier II
    Jimmy Young
    Terrell
    Folley

So top 4 because he stopped them and they were either his 4 most dangerous opponents or 4 of his 5 most dangerous opponents. Norton and Frazier II because he most clearly beat guys who gave him more trouble the other 2 times. Jimmy Young because he clearly outpointed Jimmy Young and found a way to beat someone capable of outpointing him when he was a little past his best. Terrell because Ali shut out a 6 ft 6 guy. Folley because its the best option of the remaining ones.

Liston above Foreman for 3 reasons. First Ali proved it wasn't a fluke by winning a rematch. 2nd Ali stopped the fights earlier and Liston did worse than Foreman and 3rd because Ali was green and Liston had all the experience in the world.

    1. Liston I
    2. Foreman
    3. Frazier III
    4. Liston II
    5. Joe Frazier II
    6. Ken Norton II
    7. Floyd Patterson I
    8. Jerry Quarry I, II
    9. Jimmy Ellis
    10. Ron Lyle

I don't include Norton III because I scored it as a draw, and the fight with Young, because Ali was saved by Young running to the ropes. Spinks, despite being a champion, wasn't a great fighter, but Ali's victory in the rematch could be placed around 14th. Shavers maybe 12th

I had Norton Ali 3 a draw as well 7-7-1. Minority take it seems. For me the series was 1-1-1.

    6. Ken Norton 2
    7. Jimmy Ellis
    8. Jerry Quarry 1
    9. Ernie Terrell
    10. Zora Folley

Very hard to do so many notable names that could be included.

A few things to note about my list.....

I consider Ali vs Liston 2 to be a bit shady so i didn't include it.

I had Ali losing to Norton the 3rd time so i didn't include it.

I had Ali vs Young a draw and it was very controversial so i didn't include it.

I had Ali legitimately beating Shavers but i think there's better notable names than Shavers quite honestly.

But all in all i'm pretty happy with the first 7 or 8 names the last two could be quite a few different names but i chose Folley, Terrell, because they were highly rated contenders on a good streak.

As for Foreman, Ali had already beaten a "Monster" in Liston that people thought he would lose to. So many thought that way that the streets were cleared to the hospital with an ambulance on standby at the fight.

Seeing him do the same to "BIG" George was a repeat of that feat and while we are on the subject, Forman wasn't much bigger than Ali.

    Ali was 216 at 6'3"
    Foreman was 225 at 6'4"

Do you consider Ali vs Norton II a victory for Ken?

I scored it for either for Ken or a draw I don't really see it as a victory for Ali same with the Young fight
