Ali by a wide decision. Jeff should be tough enough to go the distance.

Ali by u dec ,with Jeffries head resembling a football at the end,I dont beleive he had the skills to avoid Alis quick hands ,an old Fitz ,over 40 lbs lighter punched the **** out of him before succumbing,Ali as big as Jeffries and faster would hand out a messy beating ,imo,Jeffries was tough as hell and durable so he goes the route ,but his mo of wearing down a lighter man ,after absorbing an early beating wouldnt work here,he gets a thrashing ,but finishes on his feet. Apart from Sharkey who was very much the smaller man Jeffries wins were over great fighters past their prime, and men appreciably smaller ,not his fault ,he was the best of his time, but he gets creamed here.

Ali by unanimous decision or by a stop because of cuts. Maybe Jeffries could give him some trouble with hard punches to the body. But Ali would be the clear favourite.

Not enough time for Jeffries, I think.

Jeff would try of couse. I think this fight is closer than some people are claiming, Ali does have a fight on his hands.

Jim's not aggressive enough, and he won't be able to avoid the punches as he comes in. If Ali is in tip-top shape, he should have no problems.:good

I would pick Ali to win by UD for the reasons that others have outlined.

Over 25 rounds however it might be another story alltogether.

It would be interesting to see who wins a fight to the finish with a sadistic referee. But over 15, Ali wins comfortably. Probably looks a bit like the Chuvalo fight.

Jeffries was a lot quicker than Chuvalo and a lot stronger.

I'd favor Ali. Jeffries has a better chance than we're giving him. If it's fairly close through ten rounds and he's gotten some body licks in, it could get very interesting.

Haha interestingly enough in the computer tournament that led to the Marciano Ali computer fight Ali actually originally lost to Jeffries. He was so angry that he threatened to sue so they had him make it to the finals against Marciano. That's just being said as an interesting story Ali wide UD maybe even a stoppage on cuts.

Ali could not hold Jeffries off. Jeffries was bigger, faster, stronger, and hit harder than Chavalo.

There is not enough clean flim on a prime Jeffries to judge, but he did have the right type of stuff and style to beat Ali. That stuff is the hook, and body pundhes, which were blows that often tagged Ali.

I'll go with Ali via UD in his era, but I'll go with Jeffries via TKO in his.
