Ali was 6'2 He said it himself, also his manager and his passport. And his average prime weight from 66-67 was 209 pounds...

It wasn't in headgear and it wasn't a three rounder. Usyk fought Joyce in the semi pro WSB and beat him there.
Ali was evasive but he fought in an era of smaller men, the heavies just weren't as heavy and they didn't crack the same. They weren't as athletic largely too, Ali was an exception. Foreman was considered a behemoth at 6'3" 220lbs, that's the size of a big cruiser or small heavy at best nowadays.

My fault. Haven't seen that fight in a while. WSB was pro as far as I'm concerned. But the shorter fight matters.

Good point. I reckon Foreman could punch like a bigger man was the point. I don't think anybody would suggest Jarrell Miller punches harder.

Well punching is a lot to do with leverage and mechanics rather than weight, hence why I crack above my own weight. George had back strength and long powerful limbs to swing. Throw in his natural ferocity, he was just made to be a puncher. Plus when you loop in so many uppercuts and solid hooks you're going to hurt someone eventually.

Yeah, that's why his second career was kind of disgusting. A man who could punch like that had no right fighting some of those little no hopers. Two years straight of just annihilating journeymen.

Usyk. Ali didn’t handle southpaws very well ,and Usyk is the same size as Ali .

Mildenberger was a good Fighter. How do you establish not a patch Somali ? Just shows how subjective Boxing is. I would hold Mildenberger up as an example of how pre suspension Ali would stop Usyk.

Well to be fair he was old and slow as molasses so I guess they were trying to gauge how far he could come back into the game before they kinda ended up winning it all at 45 like the beast he was.

Mildenberger was never of the caliber of fighter that Usyk currently is and not even close to it, that's why.

Usyk has a better and longer resumé than Holyfield at cruiserweight.

I'd give Mildenberger a decent shout against Gassiev or Tony Bellew, Usyk's best 2 wins.

Holyfield's first 3 wins at HW were better than his CW resume. Not really a feat. All he had was Qawi. Michael Spinks skipped CW entirely. Lots of Americans did. Honestly, Holyfield being touted as an all timer at CW really indicts the division's historical standing.

Usyk is the best Cruiserweight in the world right now.
He will never be the best heavyweight.
    Great fighter though.

It was Angelo Dundee, who cut the glove more, not Ali. Ali did force a stoppage in round 5 on June 18 1963, by slicing Henry Cooper up, forcing the referee to stop it. Same thing on May 21 1966, Ali badly cut Cooper up in round 6, forcing the referee to stop it again, no knockdown this time, Ali looked good in his prime years, unlike these out of shape lumbering heavyweights of today, weighing 300 lbs. Besides most of the posters pick Muhammad Ali, case closed. You believe what you want, and I will believe what I want. Look at the other posters. Ali was a heavyweight, not a cruiserweight. You must be a youngster and that is okay, but a lot of us saw some great fighters.
