    Dear Friends
    kind regards
I am delighted to bring back Fantasy Warfare back to ESB, truly one of the best highlights to this forum.
As we saw in my Step back in time thread, Golota did a huge number on Riddick Bowe, who was the best heavyweight in the World back in 1996.
Golota outjabbed and outfought Bowe twice, he would have won both fights if he didn't choose to throw low blows.
Hardcore Golota supporter JETSKI stated that the 1996 version Golota could beat the 1971 version of Muhammad Ali.
Therefore, let us put JETSKI's viewpoint to the test.
I personally saw no weakness in Muhammad Ali's 1971 performance against Frazier, it was just that Frazier was good enough to test Ali and get under his guard.
But does that mean that Golota could do the same?
Who wins in a prime for prime boxing match between Ali and Golota over 12 rounds?
Is JETSKI right, could a prime Golota REALLY beat Muhammad Ali?
Or do you think that Golota would be just another victim of Ali's masterful ring prowess?
If you could vote in the poll and get back to me A.S.A.P I'd appreciate it.
    yours thankfully
    John

Golota will be massively ahead on all cards, and will then proceed to punch Ali in the sack 3 times in 2 minutes.

Are we talking about the Ali of now or the one of the Frazier fight?

I think this is one of the few fighters with a better jab than Golota. Even a prime Golota would get picked apart until a middle to late round stoppage with Ali way ahead.

    Dear Hugh Jerrod
    kind regards
    Are you kidding or what?
I can't see Golota massively outpoint Muhammad Ali on the scorecards.
Ali was a faster jabber and mover than Golota.
Remember that when Golota fought Bowe, he was hitting a standing target.
Bowe overpowered many people by overpowering them, it worked against Holyfield but not against Golota.
Golota was a better version of Bowe, he overpowered and outjabbed his polar opposite.
Bowe was a predictable fighter, Ali was not.
Do you honestly think that Golota's jabs would land on a prime Ali as much as they did Bowe?
If you do, then I am afraid that you are sadly mistaken.
    yours thankfully

Ali boxes CIRCLES around Golota, and probably stops him late. Golota could trouble a rapidly declining Riddick Bowe, yes - but Ali, even the slightly past-it early 70s version, is NO Riddick Bowe.

The difference in class between Ali and Golota would simply be too great, and I could very easily see Golota doing something to get himself out of there, like he did against Bowe. If he keeps it together, he gets the honor of being stopped late by Ali.

    Either way, Ali wins.

Golota Shouldnt Even Be Mentioned With The Great Ali, Ali Would Probably Beat His Ass Rite Now, Ali Was A Head Of His Time, U Cant Even Compare Golota 2 Him Or Even Think Ali Wouldnt Destroy Him.

Nice of you to be back Moralman. I agree with your assessment; Ali was too good of a boxer for the pole to land consistently on. Ali would jab Golota to death, and put him to sleep mid to late in the fight.

Ali was a master of mind games. He'd get into Golota's head and have the fight won before he even steps into the ring. Golota quits in about the 8th, Ali by TKO.

Ali would have ****ed up Golotas head so much at the weigh in that he wouldn't have shown up for the fight.
