    That might be worth checking out.

    Never liked Pacheco much, he was kind of good at the "not overly flattering" stuff when talking about boxer's abilities. (with obvious exceptions for his personal faves.)

    Im no expert on Jones but from what little I do know I imagine him to be a lot like his contemporary Jeff Merritt: overrated even for his modest accomplishments. Sometimes a mystique grows up around guys that couldnt quite make it. Usually these guys, while interesting, couldnt quite make it because they just werent good enough.

    Pacheco was a load. I would not believe a word he said or wrote.

    Yes the WBA Even had "Florida" Jones # 4 in 1970.

    I believe Jones was like a lotta other fighter's - did not get a "chance'
