Pov's style is predicated on slipping the jab and working inside. Only much taller men have had success keeping him away and even then they struggled mightily. Ali's jab was also easily nullified by a counter jab or a bit of upper body movement (something Pov specialises in).

 

Ali. His Jab would win it for him I think.

 

Ali wipes the floor with him. Totally different level of fighter.

 

Ali won against some of the best punchers ever...easy job for him imo

 

Ali was a great fighter who wins this fantasy match up on points but if you think that he "wipes the floor" with Povetkin then you need to remove your nostalgia tinted glasses because that is complete and utter delusion.

Povetkin would make him work hard for his win.

 

Povetkin brings a complete arsenal of punches as well as power and workrate. Ali would have his work cut out for him, that's for sure.

Takam and Huck gave a prime version all he could handle, Ali takes him to school.

 

Frazier was slipping jabs well in his first bout v Ali.

 

Ali was out of condition for that bout, he looked awful.

 

Povetkin has better hand speed than Foreman had and is a better combo puncher than Shavers was.

 

Frazier was a more active fighter than Povetkin, he`s more cautious than Joe was and would allow Ali the time and space to stick and move, Povetkin and Frazier held their right glove near their chin ready to pick shots off.

 

Lmfao. He won on points with slow Hughie Fury and aged Whyte. Besides Joshua and Klitschko destroyed him.

 

Ali was a lot quicker than the fighters Pov has fought though.
