    No ABC replayed the event with all rounds intact. I have a copy of the broadcast which is the same as mentioned above. Unless Im mistaken this was shown after the live ABC broadcast which as you stated was edited due to the unsatisfactory nature of the fight.

    The tape-delay that night did not show all the Rounds.
    Which I think was broadcast as an ABC Special at Midnight or thereabouts.
    The tape-delay could not be shown, until the fight in the Astrodome
    was completed.

    The Ali - Mathis fight was broadcast on Saturday, November 20, 1971
    On ABC-TV with Howard Cosell,,,,,Wide World of Sports.

    ABC-TV bout the tape-delay rights, for the New York market, for later that night
    after the fight was completed, and broadcast it around Midnight.

    Irregardless, it was still broadcast, at some point, by ABC, with Cosell doing live commentary, in its entirety.
