Muhammad Ali vs Corrie Sanders

Don't be surprise, in this board, Jennings was beating Ali handily the other day. Imagine what a prime sanders can do lol. What's with the Chinese flag?

On pedigree alone, you'd have to favour Ali. Just so, so proven.

However, Sanders has a quite reasonable chance for the upset. He had great power, and lightning hands himself. His younger self (not the version that beat Wlad) had a big gas tank and good movement. I remember an interview where he said that he wanted to "be like Ali". Add to that his unorthodox stance ... I wouldn't be surprised if he won, although I wouldn't bet on it, either.

You need to see a surgeon for than monomania, Herol. There's a little Klitschko homonculus growing inside your head. It should be surgically removed before it does you an injury.

 

There are just too many ways that this fight can go sideways for Sanders, I think. He could get caught early by something he doesn't see (like he did against Tubbs), or he could gas later in the contest and Ali to overtake him. Corrie's talented and dangerous enough to be competitive, but either way I think I'd take Ali to win.

 

For those who think its a mismatch i guess haven't seen the Ali vs Mildenberger fight who was also a southpaw? Milden berger was 6'0 tall and 190 pounds with weak power and chin and gave Ali one of his toughest fights in the 60's and he didnt even have speed on his side he was slow of hand and foot. the mere fact he was a southpaw gave ali a bit of trouble and even fought Ali with a bad cut that bled into his eye by the 5th round.

i dont know who would win but sanders was FAST and weighed 235 pounds and was taller than Ali...so? this in all likely hood Ali would not win if he brought his B or C game,he would need to be on point.

 

It's these kinds of threads coupled with the idiotic poll results ( 9-7 to Ali) that brings this forum down. Stop this type of immaturity at least, it just shows that this forum DKSAB.

Ali mopped the floor with Burger.. Destroyed his face. Wasn't a hard fight for him at all. Sanders would not be either
