Did I mention, that the bout was held in Frank Bruno's 'backyard'.

funnily enough Bruno actually did have a ring in his back garden. He slept in it from time to time when he was experiencing his personal demons after retirement sadly

From '76 on Bruno has a good chance. Leon Spinks wasn't **** as a pro but managed to outhustle Ali in '78 for a decision win and the HW Title.

Bruno isn't the "outhustle" you type.If he tried fighting at the pace that Spinks set,he'd probably collapse from exhaustion by the fifth or sixth round.

For all his limitations,Bruno could box, could punch; he'd handle Ali at this stage with considerable ease.Shavers knocked out whatever was left of Ali in New York.

Which Bruno? Tyson I or Tyson II?

1978 Ali vs 1989 Bruno? Ali's corner throws in the towel after the 10th or 11th round of a moderately one sided contest. I don't think Bruno would have the guts to finish Ali with all his power and would just land his punches until the ref intervened.

1978 Ali vs 1996 Bruno? Likely a combination of Ali's fights with Lyle and Shavers. Ali behind in the scoring comes back and surprises a tiring Bruno in the 12th with the combination he's been drawing up for last three or four rounds.

  8. Bruno knock that version of Ali out

Frankie was a decent heavyweight , could punch ,dish out punishement but couldn't take it . The fact we are putting hum in against the Spinks fight Ali might help him to stay on his horse for 15 rounds. But The result is inevitable. Ali UD

Bruno should win ... But Ali was never knocked out and had an unparalleled will to continue despite taking massive punishment

But I'm not sure if this Ali who was pretty much sick can beat Bruno

If it's 15 rounds then Ali stops an absolute, tired out Bruno in around 13.

Ali was the Ghost of a Shell of the Corpse of himself in Holmes.
Long into Parkinson's, opping a DE-performance enhancing thyroid medication like candy, hardly able to move, zombiefied.
That Ali is not beating any near World Class fighter.
Even the Ali of Berbick you could argue would beat Bruno (although unlikely).

Holmes Ali was frozen, any Ali before Holmes beats Bruno.

Apart from the second Tyson fight I disagree.
