Would Ali be too quick and tricky for an operator like Johnson, or would Johnson use his superior boxing skills to outpoint him?

I think this fight would be similar to the Pastrano fight.

:lol:Yeah, except Pastrano was a 6'0 Lt. Heavyweight. Ali was a 6'3 210 pound Heavyweight. He'd repeatedly crack Pastrano with right hands over the top prior to putting him down and finishing him. 6 rounds tops. This is hardly a fair matchup.

ali wins, clearly, after a slightly touchy first 6 rounds figuring out johnson. he outmoves him and peppers him with the usual blistering combinations he did in the 60s but johnson sneaks in enough counter rights to avoid getting run over

Pastrano is a good stylistic comparison but yes Ali does have a few problems with elite jabbers (like most people), but the speed and size, yea too much

If both of them were in their primes, Ali would have beaten Johnson. However if they fought when young Cassius was still climbing the ranks and johnson was on the slide around 62/63, about the same time both Johnson and Clay both fought Doug Jones, Johnson's experience could have resulted in Clay's first loss at the time
