Muhammad seems to have an easy time with all three Sovs. If I recall correctly, the Vysotsky match came last. Zaev and Gortschkov fought Ali first in order to tire him out a bit. I always wondered how a prime Vysotsky would have done agaisnt Povetkin as amateurs. Povetkin probably wouldn't have been able to resist Vysotsky's left hook.
hard to say how to say if he was having an easy time he was just covering up most of the time maybe he was takeing it easy on these guys or was just covering up because he was out of shape and might not look good if he was trying hard and not succeeding lets not forget this was 1978 and he had just lost to spinks like he said he was out of shape and you can see it so its probably a combo of both igor does move and around well here
I like how he shows moments of skill even at that stage. Some nice inside fighting (2:50), landing a right uppercut followed by a left hook when going backwards, etc. It's kind of sad that many boxing fans are deluded by the myth that Ali had no technical skill that they miss many of the excuisite moments he served up.
I think it is clear that an in shape and fresh Ali would toy with this guy and take him out in the middle rounds.
