Joe Louis and Ali-1966...Joe:"When I was champ...I went on what they called the "Bum Of The Month" tour...
Ali:"You callin' me a bum Joe?"
    Joe:"You'd be on the tour!"

Great stuff ... it's part of a documentary called "AKA Cassius Clay." Look for other clips on youtube; Ali and Cus watching old fighters and providing commentary. There are a LOT of funny moments in there; there's a mutual respect both men have for each other.

At one point, Cus taunts Ali: "I'm going to provoke you, Mr Champion! I'm gonna provoke you to hit me with a punch that will cost you one million dollars!"

Ali fired back: "Who's gonna collect it? Your beneficiary?"

Poor joe louis... Poor poor joe louis... You are nothing next to Ali.. H2h it would not be competitive at all. Foreman would ko you, liston would ko you, frazier would ko you.. In the 60s and 70s you would be maybe in the top 5

Foreman and Liston might, I tend to think he stops Frazier with an uppercut.

A fight with Ali would be a war I think. Joe could counter jab, cut off the ring and punch in combination and has an under rated defense. I could be wrong but Joe had tools that troubled Ali but he's not going to stop him. Ali had tools that troubled Joe too like speed and angles and footwork. Remember Joe is not a small guy at 6'2" though Ali would still have some reach on him.

They would both have some beautiful moments but I think Ali decisions him in a close one.

I think he'd probably end up following Ali around in circles, like he did with Conn and Walcott. I think Ali at his absolute best really embarrasses him.
